Winchelsea Acrylic String Lampshade

Named after Winchelsea Beach in East Sussex, the Winchelsea Lampshade is made from clear acrylic and monofilament nylon string woven in a complex, web-like pattern. This feature makes this truly unique and unusual lampshade look sleek and modern. 

The Winchelsea Acrylic String Lampshade fits as either a pendant light or a table lamp and also comes with a diffuser lampshade that adds softness to the light, making it more controlled while still looking good. We offer different coloured diffusers you can choose from to make your lampshade truly unique.

Iberian Lighting has been making beautiful lamp shades for 60 years. Our designs are timeless and loved by many and our old designs are still popular today. Iberian's first product in its Vintage-Meets-Modern Series is the Winchelsea Lampshade - a new take on the 1960s nylon string lamp by Paul Secon.

The Mid-Century Retro Lucite and Nylon String Lighting

Paul Secon made this famous lamp for Sompex Germany in 1960. It was a perfect example of 1960s style. Made with tinted plastic and nylon string, the lamp had a complex, web-like pattern. Iberian Lighting wanted to keep the old design's charm while making it fit for today's homes.

A Fresh Look

Iberian has updated this old lamp to suit modern tastes. The Winchelsea Lampshade, named after Winchelsea Beach in East Sussex, has three main changes that make it look better and work better.
