At the top of News Corp HQ, Iberian Lighting collaborated with Nulty Lighting to create a series of spectacular bespoke light sculptures for the executive suites and events area. The concept combined technical innovation with striking visual impact, transforming the ceiling into a dynamic light show.
The centrepiece was inspired by water lilies, with smoked chrome rods suspended beneath lily pad–shaped ceiling plates. Each rod was a precision-made tube light, housing colour-changing LEDs. In total, the installation included 620 illuminated rods with nickel bodies and glowing ends. With four LEDs per unit, that added up to 2,480 individual lights.
The LEDs were engineered in-house and programmed with a smart control system, allowing the fixtures to change both colour and brightness in response to movement. Sensors detected when people approached, creating a living, immersive light environment that shifted with the audience.
This project is a perfect example of Iberian Lighting’s ability to merge artistry with technology in bespoke lighting solutions. It also strengthens our portfolio of hospitality and commercial lighting projects, demonstrating how custom design and smart controls can elevate landmark spaces.
