Hinch Distillery Lighting | Bespoke Barrel Installation by Iberian

Sometimes the simplest concepts are the most technically challenging. Working with The Lightsource, Iberian Lighting was asked to create a dramatic lighting feature for Hinch Distillery: suspending 19 full wine barrels, weighing a combined 750kg, from a single hanging point — while also illuminating them from the inside.

The barrels needed to remain largely untouched, so our team engineered a bespoke suspension system that allowed them to be safely supported from above. To integrate lighting without damaging the barrels, we designed and installed protective cages that housed the fixtures between each barrel.

Before delivery, the entire system was rigorously tested in our workshop to ensure safety, durability, and the desired visual impact. The end result was a bold statement piece that combined engineering precision with atmospheric lighting design.

This project highlights Iberian Lighting’s expertise in solving complex technical challenges for unique hospitality interiors, as well as our ability to develop creative bespoke lighting solutions in collaboration with design partners. It also adds to our growing portfolio of standout hospitality lighting projects across the UK and beyond.
