Chandelier Rewiring, Recoating & Cleaning
We rewire, recoat and clean chandeliers no matter how big or small, whether its been bought from an auction, antique shop or been failed by an electrician. All work is PAT tested as many chandeliers that are sold second hand are imported from America and Europe so the wiring is rarely earthed and is illegal to install. The lead time for chandelier restoration is around 2-3 weeks but we always work with the customer if the light is needed more urgently.
Repainting, Respraying & Polishing
We can repaint or polish old painted metal lamps down to there original material in our factory based in Southern England. Antique Lighting that has been failed by an electrician can also be rewired by our own qualified electricians, all work will then be PAT tested. We stock lots different coloured braided and twisted cables which always enhance the look of a light fitting, Please call or email for a quote, if you email please include pictures and details of what exactly you would like doing with the light.
Cleaning
Metals and their surface finishes are softer, more porous and more easily damaged. Inappropriate or excessive cleaning can damage the metal. Home remedies usually rely on harsh abrasives, acids or alkalis to attack tarnish and should be avoided. If you want to keep the current finish of your antique, rustic or retro light we can remove unwanted tarnish or corrosion whilst maintaining the objects rustic appearance.
